I have a pretty easy time following the loop (or spiral?) in the upper arms and the thighs. It is harder for me see the opposing direction loop in the forearms and lower legs. But if I am getting those four corners pressed evenly, I think I am doing it?

Yes exactly, the upper arm and leg is a more dynamic feeling the lower leg is done mostly from rooting and lower arm from rotating the palm down.
