The rotator cuff can be a difficult group of muscles to stretch. In this video, David shows you how to stretch key rotator cuff muscles - the supraspinatus, infraspinatus and teres minor, along with the biceps - while lying on the floor. It allows you to use your body weight to effectively release these muscles using the PNF

I'm treating a rotator cuff injury and have added this to my daily stretches. I did this whole series when it was first added, so when I need extra care in an area, I come here. Thank you, David, for this invaluable grouping of stretches.

Hi David, I’m really curious to see how this technique will help me. I wonder if I’m doing it wrong; you mention I should feel a stretch in the back of the shoulder at the stage of finding that “mild” stretch. I feel it in the front of my arm. I’m also able to lift my elbow slightly, so is it possible I’m not positioned correctly? Thank you so much!

What a great stretch and a wonderful way to be mindful too. David is terrific at giving instructions.
