In this intermediate hatha class with Helen, we explore the possibility that yoga can support us in quieting our inner critic, especially when we move through poses that require our full focus. Through twists, backbends and balances, you are invited to remind yourself of all that you are, while releasing that voice that tries to tell you otherwise.

Thank you so much. This practice helped me quiet my mind and feel strong in my body. I’ll be doing it again many times. ❤️

Very nice Helen. I appreciate your reminder to use props, and blocks. I also like the inclusiveness of your class. In my opinion, many teachers normalize where they are at in their own practice, not recognizing that students are not always as "advanced", for lack of a better word. Even when I can quickly find the pose I appreciate extra time to fine tune it and I really like how you cue for every body. Since this was mentioned in another review, I also want to let others know that anything that is considered " plus-sized" yoga is definitely meant for people of all shapes and sizes and should not deter you from trying it. I found this class great as a rather fit, slim woman in my 50's who has been practicing for years. I think it would also be a good class specifically for teens.

I would agree memarcy. I am 60 now and relatively fit for my age and doing yoga for 8 years but this class of Helen’s is for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the fluttering too. It reminds us to being some fun into our practice. I will do more of Helen’s classes.

Very good class. I was a little hesitant to try it because I am not plus size and didn't know if it would work for me. But it was great and all the wording was exactly what I needed to hear today. I recommend this to anyone. Thank you Helen
