In this invigorating vinyasa flow practice, Andrea guides you to refine the elements you need to take flight in the flying splits, also known as eka pada koundinyasana II. Build strong foundations in the hands, wrist, and core, expand flexibility in your inner thighs, stabilize your shoulders and make use of props to access this powerful hand balance.

Thank you so much for this class. Practicing the flying splits supported allowed me to feel what my body could feel like and look like in this pose.
Namaste.
Incredible practice! First practice with Andrea. Love you Andrea! (And all the instructors dywm too!). It was incredible to feel how flying lizard may feel if I could actually do it! LOL! I feel as though, if I work at it, my shoulder may actually go somewhere near, under my knee! Thank you Andrea for a wonderful and clearly instructed practice. Hopefully we will be able to have more of your practices available to us soon! Namaste.
That was incredible. I've practiced for years and still find arm balances mostly out of my reach. The use of blocks was amazing. The supported low push up was also novel. I actually didn't hate it, just the opposite. In addition to feeling great, I can see how it's also a great strengthener. Kudos!
Absolutely loved this class and I've now got that wonderful post-class achey feeling where I know I've worked hard!
This was the closest I've ever come to getting my shoulder under my knee, and I think my compass pose was almost recognisable :-)
I also did manage to get both feet off the floor (on one side) during supported flying splits, for a split second, albeit a bit wonky!
Brilliant guidance and prepping for these poses. Even though Andrea was doing some crazy advanced poses (in my eyes) I always felt included in the class and able to give it a go with the guidance and cueing given.
More classes from Andrea please! Thank you Andrea xx
