Yoga Teacher Training

Introduction

Our yoga teacher training program combines the best of both worlds:

  1. A professional, online component that allows you to move through the first 180 hours of the program from wherever you are.
  2. The opportunity to integrate what you have learned in an in-person, 7-day retreat.

It also gives you the option of moving through the course with a group of other students (cohort) or on your own (self-paced).

Summary of Costs (3 Options):

  1. A La Carte (Pay per Course) = $35/Course; ends up being $675/Level

  2. Level 1 Package (Pay per Level) = $600/Level

  3. Level 1 & 2 Package (Pay for Level 1 and 2 together) = $575/Level

Affordable, Convenient, Professional

Our hybrid online/in-person yoga teacher training is an ideal educational combination. Level 1 and Level 2 are entirely online, each level approximately 90 hours. After completing Levels 1 and 2 (180 hours in total), you complete your 250-hour training with an in-person, 70-hour, 7-day retreat. The location and date for each Level 3 Retreat will be chosen based on the needs of the students wanting to graduate.

This unique online/in-person approach maximizes affordability, convenience and learning potential for the student. And our professional approach to educational design makes this program a fantastic first step toward becoming a professional yoga instructor.

Self-paced Vs Cohort Certification Packages

You can choose to either move through the program on your own, at your own pace, completing it when you can, or you can progress with other students, joining study groups and sharing your experience with others.

Our Self-Paced Certification allows you to do the courses at your own pace and convenience. You can begin any course anytime - although we encourage you to proceed in order - make your way through the courses as you like and, once you’ve completed Level 1 and 2, you can join the Level 3 Retreat that works best for you. You will have access to faculty at all times, with a response time of 3-5 days.

Our Cohort Certification gives you the opportunity to share the experience with other students, working in study groups, asking and answering questions and moving through the courses together. The cohort option also gives you better access to faculty, who typically respond within 1-3 days.

We have many certification packages, including upcoming cohorts that begin on three different dates (Apr 6/20, Sep 7/20 and Jan 11/21), as well as the Self-Paced option.

Our YTT Course Design

The overall course design was created by Rachel Scott (ERYT 500), a yoga teacher training instructor with seven years of YTT teaching and design experience, extensive academic training (MSci Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies, BA Columbia University) and over 4,500 hours of teaching under her belt. Her cumulative experience as a trainer, teacher and mentor helped her build this robust and transformational program from the ground up.

Each course has been designed to be engaging and relevant, helping you deepen your understanding of yourself, yoga and what it means to teach. We have strived to make it fun, professional and accessible, helping prepare you for what could be a lifelong journey as a yoga student and teacher.

Rachel is joined by three other gifted DYWM yoga teachers: Fiji McAlpine (ERYT 500), Tracey Noseworthy (ERYT 500) and David Procyshyn (ERYT 200), who have a combined teaching experience of over 60 years. Each is passionately devoted to learning and teaching, which made it easy for them to contribute their individual styles and skill sets to this YTT program. They also happen to be great friends!
